One Piece Chapter 1047 Recap
Yamato motivates Momonosuke, telling him that he can create the necessary flame clouds. Momonosuke says he can’t and remembers when his mother told him to time travel with Kin’emon and the others.
Momonosuke cries, telling his mother that she and Hiyori should come with him. Kin’emon convinces him to strengthen his resolve by reminding him of their samurai principles.
Kaido is amused that Luffy could catch lightning. Luffy throws the lightning back at Kaido, but he dodges it and retaliates.
Kaido says special abilities alone won’t allow you to dominate the world. He punches Luffy and reveals that Roger didn’t have Devil’s fruit powers. He only says haki can be above all.
After Kaido hits Luffy again, Luffy clings to Kaido. Kaido tells him to let go and continues to attack him.
Meanwhile, at the Capital of Flowers, the Festival of Fire is coming to an end. The people of Wano continue to hope for the best.
In the Skull Dome, Hyogoro and the others are exhausted. However, Hyogoro motivates the others by saying that if they survive, that means Kaido would have won. The samurai cheer Luffy on, not afraid to crumble to their deaths if it means Luffy defeating Kaido.
In the basement, Usopp and the others are flooded with water as they flee. Elsewhere, Orochi transforms after the Sea Prism Stone Nail comes loose.
While Momonosuke is still trying to stop Onigashima from crashing, Luffy calls out to him. Yamato and Momonosuke are shocked to see Luffy’s gigantic hand.
Luffy says he will finally put an end to this but Onigashima is in the way. He tells Momonosuke to move it.

One Piece Chapter 1048 Spoilers
Momonosuke tries to move Onigashima so he doesn’t clash with Luffy’s attack. Meanwhile, Kaido changes shape and becomes a fire dragon. His body is highly flammable.
Luffy and Kaido use new attacks against each other. The scene goes inside the castle, where the samurai are.
Kawamatsu recalls the events after Oden’s execution. In a flashback, Kaido learns that Oden has a son and tries to pick him up.
The chapter features how Oden Castle burned down and how the daimyo of Wano from 20 years ago teamed up to fight Orochi and Kaido. However, all were defeated and the country fell.
The scene snaps back to the present and a burning Orochi attempts to take Komurasaki with him. However, Denjiro shows up and cuts off his head.
The wishes of the people of Wano fly away, with some of those hopefuls wishing for Orochi’s demise or release from the hell they find themselves in.
The chapter ends with a continuation of the confrontation between Luffy and Kaido.
